Kai Market at Sheraton WaikikiHawaii’s sugar cane and pineapple plantations, which began flourishing 130 years ago, created today’s unique Island culture melding traditions from all around the globe. Plantation Nights, new at the Kai Market Restaurant in the Sheraton Waikiki, 2255 Kalakaua Avenue, Honolulu, Hawaii, is a “food fair” that offers delicacies from Hawaii’s myriad cultures of Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, Russian, Spanish, Korean and more. Located on the ma kai (ocean) side of the Sheraton Waikiki, Kai Market opened August 7, serving breakfast and dinner daily.

Also new this month at the Sheraton Waikiki is a new wine bar called Flights at Twist. Guests can select from five “airline boarding passes” – each featuring wine varietal combinations of three glasses including: Go Green (sustainable and organic wines), ABC Whites (anything but chardonnay), International Flight to Europe, ABC Reds (anything but cabernet), and Thunder from Down Under (big, bold and full-bodied). Each wine flight will range from $11 – $17. Flights at Twist is open daily from 4:30 – 11 p.m. Accessed by a glass elevator, this bar is 30 floors above the beach, and offers views of Diamond Head, sunsets, and the city lights of Waikiki’s skyline.
