WhiskyFest New York

WhiskyFest New YorkIt’s only gonna make you sad, Road Trips Foodies — especially those of who who adore whisky — but the 12th annual WhiskyFest New York, set for November 10, 2009, is already sold out. No use planning to be at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. hoping to taste more than 250 whiskies from around the globe. There aren’t any more of either the $120 regular admission or the $160 VIP admission tickets to be had. Sorry. You’ll have to forego the pleasureof holding that Glencairn tasting glass in your hand until next year. Remember, though, that Malt Advocate magazine stages three of these each year. The next one is WhiskyFest Chicago, set for April 23, 2010. The San Francisco edition usually takes place in October, and, of course, it’ll be back in Manhattan in November 2010!
