Food and Wine in Indiana’s Brown County

indiana_browncounty_tasteThe rural hamlet of Nashville, Indiana, stages its fourth annual Taste of Brown County on April 23 and 24, 2010. Some 20 restaurants are participating. Taste tickets are $1 each, and can be purchased at the Visitors Center (corner of Main and Van Buren streets) and at Coachlight Square on South Van Buren Street.

grapes_03 And, Road Trips Foodies, as long as you’re heading to Brown County, consider a stop at the Indiana Wine Fair, set for April 24, 2010, at the Story Inn (its post office address is Nashville, but it’s really a bit south of town on Ind. 135). It’s the largest wine event in Southern Indiana, with more than 30 Indiana wineries providing samples from 12:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is $15.
