San Antonio Wine Festival

Submitted by on February 9, 2011 – 12:20 amNo Comment

Only the Alamodome is a large enough venue to accommodate the nearly 3,000 participants (including a Road Trips Foodie or two) who will sample the hundreds of domestic and imported wines at the annual Fine Wine and Cuisine Tasting — the heart of the Wine Festival set for February 18 through 20 in San Antonio, Texas.

Connoisseurs also savor creations from San Antonio’s restaurants and caterers at this event, known as the “Granddaddy of All Wine Tastings”.

The festival begins with the 17th Annual Wine Opener, a black-tie affair on February 18 featuring winners of the international San Antonio Wine Competition, live music entertainment, and delicious bites to go with your wine.

The 14th Annual Champagne Brunch is the morning of February 20, and the festival wraps up that evening from 6 to 8:30 p.m. with the 31st Annual Fine Wine & Cuisine Tasting.

All proceeds benefit KLRN, public television for south central Texas.
