Cooking Classes at Ceiba

Submitted by on June 7, 2011 – 12:15 amNo Comment

Here’s something just for grownups visiting our nation’s capital this summer: cooking classes at Ceiba, 701 14th Street NW, Washington, DC — a restaurant where both the menu and the atmosphere are inspired by Latin America.

This Saturday (June 11, 2011), it’s Mexican Cooking. The topic is Rum Tasting on July 9, 2011; Tequila Tasting on August 27, 2011, and Peruvian Cooking on September 24, 2011. Each is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Each class is $75. For more information or to register, email Jillian Zins or call 202:408-0201.

The name “Ceiba” comes from the imposing umbrella-shaped tree found throughout the new-world tropics.
