The second annual Barbados Food & Wine and Rum Festival takes place November 18 through 21, 2011, at various locations across the Caribbean island.

Eight international chefs will join six Bajan chefs during the four day extravaganza, Road Trips Foodies.

Hosted by Travel + Leisure’s Features Director and Special Correspondent Nilou Motamed, the Festival includes a wide variety of chef demonstrations, tasting events and interactive sessions. Culinary masters at this year’s events include Tom Colicchio, Marcus Samuelsson, Ming Tsai (pictured at left) along with Barbadian culinary sensation, “The Rhum Chef” Paul Yellin as well as Food & Wine wine expert Anthony Giglio. International chefs include Mark McEwan and Tom Brodi of Canada, Bruno Loubet from the United Kingdom and Brazilian chef Vitor Gomes who bring their expertise to the Caribbean.

New to this year’s line-up is an authentic Bajan lunch prepared at a historic plantation house and a Bajan-style fiesta plus a visit to a rum distillery at the historic St Nicholas Abbey.

There’s a full schedule of events and information on purchasing tickets online. For more information on visiting Barbados, you can also go online.
