South Coast Clambake Jazz Festival

Submitted by on March 8, 2012 – 11:10 amNo Comment

Driving in Oregon this weekend? Check out the SouthCoast Clambake Jazz Festival in North Bend, Oregon.

Musically speaking, a clambake is a jam session — and there’s lots of music tomorrow through Sunday (March 9, 10 and 11, 2012). Performances take place at the Mill Casino Hotel, 3201 Tremont Street, North Bend, Oregon (map), and the Red Lion Hotel, 1313 North Bayshore Drive, Coos Bay, Oregon (map).

Events start at noon tomorrow, and run through 6 p.m. Sunday. An all-event three-day pass is $70, but day passes are available as well. Eleven bands from surrounding states and Canada will play America’s original music: Dixieland, Big Band, Jump & Jive, Rock & Roll, Zydeco, Blues and Doo-wop.

But, of course, this is coastal Oregon. Check out this list of Pacific Northwest cuisine eateries to check out places to find the edible clams.
