Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week

While northern cities tend to have their restaurant promotions during the cold winter months of January and February, those in warmer climes schedule them to entice visitors during the non-chilly months.

For example, the Coachella Valley of California. The fifth Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week is set for June 1 through 10, 2012.

More than 100 local businesses will be participating this time, including newcomers Augusta in Palm Desert, The Spring Resort & Spa in Desert Hot Springs, and Mary Pickford Theatre in Cathedral City, as well as Restaurant Week favorites, such as The Tropicale in Palm Springs, The Nest in Indian Wells, Okura Robata Grill in La Quinta, Jackalope Ranch in Indio, Rancho Las Palmas Resort & Spa in Rancho Mirage, Palm Springs Follies, and Desert Adventures—Red Jeep Tours in Palm Desert. There’s a whole listing online.

Throughout the 10-day event, diners can choose from three-course, prix fixe menus, available for $24 or $36 per person. It’s sponsored by the Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week Association.
