Valentines and Wine

If you’re driving through the northeast Georgia mountains on Valentine’s Weekend, consider a stop at the Crane Creek Vineyards & Winery, 916 Crane Creek Road, Young Harris, Georgia (map).

The “Valentines & Wines Weekend” is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. February 14 through 16, 2013. A $6/person wine tasting includes a sample of six available wines, flowers for the ladies and a Valentine treat.

The indoor fireplace will be stoked, but so will the outdoor heaters on the decks overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia. Sample the locally made wines as you enjoy sweet treats by the fire.

Crane Creek Vineyards is three miles north of Young Harris, a college town in the shadow of Brasstown Bald, the state’s highest peak.
