wales_real-aile-trailAs most Road Trips Foodies know, the biggest problem following a drinking trail is the driving. Well, the Real Ale Trail Flintshire has taken care of this snag (directions).

Get yourself across the pond and you can while away the day discovering the charm of authentic Welsh pubs and unique real ales, without having to worry about who’s driving. Yes, this is a bus-based ale festival through the Flintshire countryside in Wales (map).

It all takes place (with buses running every 30 minutes) between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. April 13, 2013. The stops promise not only great ales, but also home-cooked food and entertainment.

Tickets are £10 on the day of the Real Ale Trail, and are available from any of the 10 participating pubs:

o Gold Cape, Mold (map)
o The Oak, Hendre (map)
o Pwll Gwyn, Afowen
o The Royal Oak, Caerwys
o Piccadilly, Caerwys
o Crown Inn, Lixwm
o Black Lion, Babell
o The Crooked Horn, Brynford
o Blue Bell, Halkyn
