Oak Street Po-Boy Festival

Submitted by on November 13, 2014 – 8:39 amNo Comment

louisiana_neworleans_poboyIf ever a sandwich were emblematic of New Orleans, Louisiana, that would be the poor boy (or, as it’s usually called, the po-boy).

It’s familiar, but as diverse as its city. Bread surrounds everything N’awlins: shrimp, oyster, catfish, soft-shell crabs plus French fries and ham and cheese. Comfort food.

The Po-Boy is celebrated in The Big Easy from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. November 23, 2014, at a festival along Oak Street between Eagle and South Carrollton Avenue.

There’ll be a multitude of food vendors, live music and shopping.
