Des Prairies à Narcisses au Vieux Montreux

In the village of Glion, Switzerland, fields of narcissus should be at their best on May 8, 2011.

A festival celebrating this delicately-scented white flower has been celebrated here since 1897 (that’s an historic poster for the fête, at left).

It’s sponsored by the Association Pour la Sauvegarde et la Promotion des Narcisses de la Riviera. There’s more information on visiting the Montreux-Vevey region online.
