“The Fabric of Our Lives” is the theme for next weekend’s Standard Flower Show in the Austin Area Garden Center of Zilker Botanical Garden, 2220 Barton Springs Road, Austin, Texas.

Hour are 1 to 4:30 p.m. October 8, 2011, and 1 to 4 p.m. October 9, 2011. Admission is free.

The various judging categories include silk, lamé, denim, quilted cotton and eyelet.

It’s sponsored by the Violet Crown Garden Club, a member of Texas Garden Clubs and National Garden Clubs.
