If you’re a Road Trips Gardener, you probably look for places to stay when you travel that feature great gardens.

One of these is the Shangri-La Hotel in Singapore, which just finished a $51.3 million renovation of its Garden Wing, set amidst 15 acres of lush tropical greenery.

First opened on August 19, 1978, the hotel’s Garden Wing was famous for its bougainvillea-laden terraced balconies. In October 2011, it was closed for eight months in preparation for its rebirth as Singapore’s only urban resort. The Garden Wing’s nature-inspired design is the work of Singapore-based Maps Design.

And, note please, that complimentary Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel.

Hong Kong-based Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts currently owns and/or manages 72 hotels under the Shangri-La, Kerry and Traders brands.
