georgia_atlanta_shahFlowers: Secrets Within is an exhibition of works by Bayberry L. Shah at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, 1345 Piedmont Avenue NE, Atlanta, Georgia (map), that runs through April 15, 2013.

Shah’s artwork has been described as sensuous, provocative and regal. Her flowers lure the viewer in to take a closer look at their shadowy interiors. Thirty-five unique floral works by the Marietta artist are featured in this one-woman show.

The artwork is so detailed that one can continue to find new and fascinating shapes each time they are viewed. Her work is a celebration of color and the natural form and is the perfect complement to viewing the actual blossoms at the Garden.

If your trip through Atlanta is in late March, Road Trips Gardener, consider timing your visit to include a reception with Shah and a chance to sample some edible floral delights between 5 and 8 p.m. March 28, 2013, in the Georgia Pacific Classroom.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of artwork benefits the Atlanta Botanical Garden.
