england_chelseaThinking of attending your first Chelsea Flower Show next spring? One easy way to deal with the logistics of the across-the-pond trip is to take an organized tour (then you don’t even have to worry about getting tickets for the day you’ll be there!).

Insight Vacations offers one that includes the show in London plus side jaunt into the mountains on the continent. And, there is indeed only one departure date: May 22, 2014.

This special itinerary includes a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show, where guests mosey through magnificent floral displays, model gardens, courtyards and roof gardens. Road Trips Gardeners also will visit some of Europe’s best-known gardens including Monet’s Garden in Giverny and the Château de Versailles in France, the Botanic Gardens on Italy’s Isola Bella and the Sissinghurst Castle Gardens.

Another highlight for gardening enthusiasts is a visit to the Aalsmeer Flower Auction in the Netherlands, where some 20 million cut flowers are sold each day.

The itinerary includes Paris, the Swiss Alps, Munich, Rothenberg, Amsterdam and London. The 18-day trip from Insight Vacations is priced at $6,332 per person (land only), based on double occupancy.
