georgia_hill&dale_balmsPassing through western Georgia this weekend, Road Trips Gardeners?

Consider stopping at Hills & Dales Estate, 1916 Hills & Dales Drive, LaGrange, Georgia (map) for a two-hour workshop on making your own soothing lip balms, creams and salves from herb-infused oils (you’ll make some of each emollient to take away).

The workshop, $30 per person, takes place from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday (October 12, 2013).

Instructor is estate horticulturist Charlotte Baker. Please note: these recipes have been tested on only human animals (Hills & Dales staff members to be exact).
