By Fiskars

Every year community gardens continue to sprout up across North America. To help groups make their community garden plans a reality, Fiskars is pleased to open its 2014 Project Orange Thumb garden grant and makeover application process.

Applications from the U.S. and Canada are being accepted NOW through December 31, 2013, online.

Ten applicants will receive $5,000 in cash and tools, and one applicant will receive a complete one-day garden makeover. During a Project Orange Thumb garden makeover, Fiskars works with community partners, business leaders and local volunteers to transform undeveloped land into a beautiful, productive community garden — all in a single day.

Established in 2002, Fiskars Project Orange Thumb® is a community gardening initiative that provides groups across the U.S. and Canada with tools, materials and resources they need to create beautiful and productive community garden spaces. Project Orange Thumb has provided over $1.4 million to more than 140 community groups in North America.
