Bayfield in Bloom

wisconsin_bayfield_bloomNow’s a good time to wander through Bayfield, Wisconsin, Road Trips Gardeners.

“Bayfield in Bloom” takes place from May 16 through June 15 each year (including this one). It’s a month-long celebration of spring now in its 12th year that features 50,000 daffodils plus lupine and apple blossoms.

Why so late? Bayfield’s on the shores of Lake Superior.

An especially good weekend to visit is June 7 and 8, 2014. Bayfield’s annual garden tours take place between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days. There’s a complete schedule available online, and there’s an orchard map online also.
