virginia_rose-notesRose Notes“, the 76th annual rose show sponsored by the Garden Club of Virginia, is set for October 1 and 2, 2014, in the Institute for Advanced Learning & Research, 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville, Virginia.

Hours are 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday.

David Pike, of Witherspoon Rose Culture, will discuss “Five Essentials For Growing Roses” at 10:30 a.m. October 1. This event is open to the public for $35 per person, and advance registration is required (includes box lunch).

The event is sponsored by the Gabriella Garden Club and sanctioned by the American Rose Society.
