A Tropical Garden With a Sandbox

illinois_rock-island_sandboxOK, so it’s not really a garden event — but it does take place in a garden: the Sun Garden of the Quad City Botanical Center, 2525 Fourth Avenue, Rock Island, Illinois, to be exact.

Now through March 31, 2015, two tons of sand will be right in the middle of the indoor Sun Garden, creating a giant tropical sandbox.

The sandbox will be open for play during regular hours. Kids (and grownups) may bring their own toys or borrow some from the botanical center.
