illinois_chicago_old-townA self-guided Historic Garden Walk takes place June 13 and 14, 2015, as part of the Old Town Art Fair in Chicago, Illinois. The gardens range from free-form and unfettered to more structured and manicured.

It’s sponsored by the Old Town Triangle Association and features more than 50 gardens in the Old Town Triangle neighborhood, a protected, historically landmarked area with vintage homes and gardens.

The Garden Walk will feature shade and sunny landscapes, both small and large. Hours both days are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., rain or shine.

The Old Town Triangle Association is a not-for-profit community organization. Proceeds from the annual Art Fair event support local schools, arts and cultural programs, children’s programs, historic and architectural preservation projects.

The Art Fair features 250 juried artists and is ranked as #2 of U.S Juried Fine Art Fairs. Featured artists are selected by an independent jury of many of Chicago’s most respected artists, gallery owners, and museum curators. Fair attendees will meet the artists and have an opportunity to view and purchase pieces of art, including painting, photography, printmaking, ceramics, fiber, jewelry, mixed media, and works in wood, stone, and glass.

The Fair is held in the Old Town Triangle residential neighborhood bounded by North Park, Wisconsin, Lincoln Park West, and Menomonee. Main entrance gate is at Lincoln and Wisconsin. A $7 donation is suggested for adults. Children ages 12 and under can attend free. Donation includes entry to Garden Walk.
