Flower of the Day: Petunias

petunias_edited-2Given its location at the northern edge of the Atlantic Ocean, Newfoundland has lots of grey skies and drifting snow.

That’s why they favor brilliantly colored flowers in the summer.

These electric pink and purple petunias filled a window box in St. John’s earlier this month.
