Dale Chihuly ©Chihuly Studio“Chihuly at Biltmore”, a new exhibition opening in 2018, will feature multi-media artist Dale Chihuly’s monumental glass sculptures set throughout areas of Biltmore House, gardens, and grounds, One Lodge Street, Asheville, North Carolina.

Chihuly’s sculptures will “reside” in the Winter Garden of Biltmore House, and throughout the estate, including the Italian Garden and Walled Garden from May 17, 2018, through Oct. 7, 2018.

As part of the exhibition, Biltmore will host an evening experience in the gardens that will offer views of the sculptures after dark. “Chihuly Nights at Biltmore” will take place each Thursday through Sunday night during the exhibition.

Daytime admission to “Chihuly at Biltmore” will be included with the general admission ticket. Admission to “Chihuly Nights at Biltmore” requires a separate ticket.

Located in Asheville, North Carolina, Biltmore was the vision of George W. Vanderbilt. Designed by Richard Morris Hunt, America’s largest home is a 250-room French Renaissance chateau, exhibiting the Vanderbilt family’s original collection of furnishings, art and antiques. Biltmore estate encompasses more than 8,000 acres including gardens designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the father of American landscape architecture.

Dale Chihuly’s creative vision utilizes light, space, and form. For more than a half century Chihuly and his team have employed a variety of media including glass, paint, charcoal, graphite, neon, ice, and polyvitro to explore possibilities and realize his vision.
