Rhododendrons, Roan Mountain, TennesseeA Rhododendron Festival takes place June 22 and 23, 2019, in Roan Mountain State Park, Tennessee (between Asheville, North Carolina, and Johnson City, Tennessee).

Road Trips Gardeners will be able to visit what’s said to be the world’s largest natural rhododendron gardens atop the 6000-foot-high Roan Mountain. There’ll also be more than 100 arts and crafts vendors, demonstrations, entertainment, and all sorts of regional food.

It’s sponsored by the Roan Mountain Citizens Club, which has presented the annual Rhododendron Festival since 1947.
