Celebrating the biodiversity of Indonesia, the Orchid Festival at Kew Gardens, Kew, Richmond, London, England, opens February 8, 2020, and runs through March 8, 2020.

Road Trips Gardeners can enter the Princess of Wales Conservatory and immerse themselves in the tropics during Kew’s 25th annual orchid festival. Rainforests and volcanoes will be brought to life through an exotic array of vibrant orchid displays. More than 5,000 species of orchids can be found in Indonesia, alongside wildlife found nowhere else on earth.

This year’s festival is a celebration of the cultural and natural diversity that is scattered across the country’s archipelago of 17,504 islands, and the scientific discovery being made by Kew’s scientists.

There are a host of after hours events, half-term, and weekend activities featuring Indonesian music and cuisine, and expert talks. Go behind the scenes with an Orchid Nursery tour or Tropical Nursery tour.

This is a popular flower festival, and you don’t want to turn up and be turned away. If you’re planning a trip to England for this show, note that a selection of early-bird tickets will be available in the run-up to Orchids. Beginning January 27, 2020, Kew will release more ticketed timeslots each Monday. The final week’s tickets will be released February 24. 2020.
