Wine Competition Public Tasting

Submitted by on February 10, 2014 – 8:18 amNo Comment

california_sanfrancisco_public-tastingIf you’ll be in northern California next weekend, you might want to see if you can score a ticket for the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition (SFCWC) Public Tasting.

It’ll be held from 1:30 to 5 p.m. Saturday (February 15, 2014) in the Festival Pavilion of Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, California

Advance tickets are $65. They’re $80 at the door — if there are any left (it’s usually a sellout).

The Public Tasting of the largest competition of American wines in the world is much more than just a wine tasting – it’s a wine and food experience. Featured at this event will be a sampling of hand crafted creations from artisan food purveyors, which will include artisan breads, meats, oils, cheeses, desserts, sauces and other delicacies.

The 2014 SFCWC judging included a record number of 5,825 entries from more than 1,500 wineries in 25 states in America- the largest competition of wines in America.

Seven Wine Sweepstake Winners were selected along with the Wine Label Sweepstake Wine. These Sweepstake winners along with Best of Class, Double Gold, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals are listed on the website.
